Infrared heating is ideal for your office, because they are healthy, efficient, effective, economical and attractive.Infrared heating elements radiate completely harmless rays of infra red light (infra red means just below red light) just like the sun does.
We cannot see those rays, but we feel their effect as warmth. This is a natural phenomena and offers the same benefits as the natural light from the sun, it makes you feel very good by increasing your levels of concentration and energy, optimizing the humidity in every room.
Just imagine an afternoon in the mountains, after skiing. You sit on a terrace enjoying the warmth of the sun, while the air temperature is below zero and you take off some of your clothes so you can have a sunbath, because the sun rays are keeping you warm enough.
Infra red heaters work in the same way, they too radiate infra red rays that keep you warm. That is why infra red heating systems do not warm the air around them, like conventional heating systems do, but direct their warming rays directly at the person or persons and any solid objects in the room. The air quality remains noticeably higher, because the air humidity level is optimized. This means that the air remains at the right level of humidity and has therefore added health benefits to asthma patients and people that wear contact lenses.
That is why with Infra red heating systems you can sit in a room with an air temperature of around 19ºC and still feel comfortably warm.
There is no air circulation, which means that the warm air does not raise up to the ceiling, only to come down once it has cooled down, leaving you cold in the room.
Infrared heating elements can either be attached to the wall or to the ceiling and when they are mounted on the ceiling, it means that the warmth is more evenly distributed throughout the whole room, which means that everybody can be equally warm. For this option you can choose the standard element, which has a white or black safety glass finish, either with or without frame.Most people will hang them on the wall, though, simply because they look so attractive. You can get them in a large variety of designs; stone decor (they look like a stone/marble plate), with a picture from the picture gallery, or even your own picture or logo. There is also a large range of colors available, both with a shiny and a rough finish and some you can even paint yourself.
Infra red heating systems run on electricity and per element they only use between 300 Watt (0.3 KW) and 700 Watt (0.7 KW) per hour. This saves you a lot (both energy and money) against conventional electrical heaters which usually run on 1.5KW to 2KW per hour.
The 700 Watt element can heat an area of up to 20 square meters, depending upon insulation, height of room, etc. You will even save more if you use the thermo-timers with them, they allow you to control everything about these elements and their surroundings.
